Standard equipment

Integrated five-axis control

X, Y, Z, rotation and solder feed are controlled together in one software application. Servo motors move the X, Y and Z axes.

250 W JBC HDE soldering station

The soldering station offers fast thermal recovery and an interchangeable soldering head for different soldering tasks.

Automatic tip cleaning

Automatic cleaning removes residue from the soldering tip and supports a consistent process.

Controlled wire feed

The feeder processes 0.8 to 1.2 mm solder wire as standard. The minimum feed length is 0.1 mm.

CCD teaching and fiducial recognition

A standard camera supports teaching of soldering positions and fiducial recognition.

Central process programming

Travel paths, wire feed and soldering time are set on a Windows industrial PC with an English-language user interface.

Preheating platform

An optional preheating platform supports soldering tasks on large pads.

Extraction hood

An optional hood enables connection to a fume extraction system.

Process-specific soldering tips

Custom JBC soldering tips are available in addition to standard tips.

iBot-2: Soldering robots merit evaluation for repeatable, accessible joints. Tooling, fixtures and heat demand must suit the connection.

Application

Show joint locations, component heights, access directions and the intended fixture on a sample assembly.

Line integration

Confirm operator access, fixture space, power supply and the handover of assemblies in the production flow.

Limits and trial

Travel range and temperature range alone do not establish solder quality. Trial tip geometry, wire feed and cycle time.
