Process · Dispensing
Precision dispensing on PCBs
The SD-400i applies material at programmed locations. Servo axes, CCD positioning and automatic needle calibration support setup.
How dispensing works.
The software guides the dispensing head along points, lines, circles or rectangles. After a needle change, needle alignment and Z height can be calibrated automatically.
Typical application
Material properties, required dispense volume and geometry determine the valve and process parameters. A sample application establishes whether the dispensing process suits the task.
What matters when choosing a system.
Dispensing area and component height
PCB format, fixturing and component height determine the available working space.
Material and valve
The system is compatible with various precision valves. The valve is selected to suit the material and dispensing task.
Quality control
Define the position, quantity and shape of the deposit, together with inspection criteria.
